Discover the PRISM Speakers Event: Saving Bats and Storing Data

Join the PRISM Speakers event to explore how data science is helping save endangered bat species on 14 November 2024

On Thursday, 14 November 2024, from 18:30 to 21:00 GMT, PRISM Exeter will host PRISM Speakers: Saving Bats and Storing Data, an event celebrating the International Day of LGBTQ+ people in STEMM. Held both in-person at Exeter Library and online, this event will feature fascinating talks by LGBTQ+ researchers from the University of Exeter.

The PRISM Speakers events highlight the outstanding work being done by LGBTQ+ professionals in the STEMM sector (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) while also addressing the barriers to inclusion still faced by this community. Through their personal career journeys, the speakers will share their experiences of navigating the challenges within academia and STEMM industries.

This event is part of PRISM Exeter, a vibrant regional network supporting LGBTQ+ professionals and students across the South West. PRISM Exeter aims to combat the isolation often experienced by LGBTQ+ individuals in these fields, by raising visibility and providing a supportive community that champions change and inclusion.
