The Society for Experimental Biology is seeking dedicated members to step into leadership roles as convenors for two of our Special Interest Groups (SIGs): Plant Transport and Plant Development.

About the SIGs:

  • Plant Transport SIG: This group focuses on the mechanisms and pathways that facilitate the movement of water, nutrients, and other essential molecules within plants. Understanding these processes is crucial for advancements in plant physiology and improving crop efficiency.

  • Plant Development SIG: This group delves into the genetic, molecular, and environmental factors that influence plant growth and development. Insights from this field are vital for innovations in agriculture and horticulture.

Role of a Convenor:

As a convenor, you will:

  • Lead and Coordinate: Guide the direction of the SIG, organising meetings, discussions, and events.

  • Collaborate: Work with fellow researchers and professionals to promote knowledge sharing and networking.

  • Contribute: Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of plant science within the SEB community.
