Overview
We have partnered with the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh to host an exciting morning of public engagement activities on Monday, 3rd July, the day preceding the SEB centenary conference.
This event is aimed at families who are visiting the gardens and will provide a unique opportunity for them to interact with and ask questions to researchers and learn about the importance of experimental plant biology research in addressing real-world issues such as feeding a growing population, conservation, preserving plant biodiversity, and climate change.

Aims
- Increase awareness of SEB and our conference;
- Improve knowledge of the importance of plant research in solving real-world issues;
- Have fun engaging with science
Activities
Throughout the morning, we will offer "Ask a Scientist" (visit the webpage) and "Meet the Researchers" sessions, allowing the public to write/draw their burning science questions and engage in impromptu conversations with scientists about their work, respectively.
